Reuse
Other uses after end of original application
California has specific limitations on reusing preserved wood after it is removed from its original application, where it is considered TWW.
Per the regulations, reuse is permitted only under the following conditions:
- TWW is reused at the facility which the preservative TWW was generated.
- At the time of reuse, reuse is consistent with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (7 U.S.C. Sec. 136 et seq.) approved use of the preservative with which the TWW has been treated.
- Prior to reuse, the TWW is handled in compliance with all applicable alternative management standards.
